I was really excited about this one, I'd been trying to figure out how to bring this to any interested people, colleagues really. What I'd needed first was to bring it to myself, though. ...so I did, despite a lot of inertia, and even more procrastination - since 2012, but a lot more from the start of 2024.
This inner pull started from residency but was really only able to take off during the clinical and translational science school at Tufts in Boston. I especially enjoyed the excitement that work on statistical analyses, and especially visualizations, brought on. Followed by a calming effect when those tasks were done and I felt like I put in some quality time worth spending.
Then I had to stop for a while. I tried this and that to maintain the momentum on this 'hobby' but realized I needed a true academic position to be able to immerse myself into it enough. I knew it would become easier. That story is all Colorado, and its University, so thanks to all who invited me, supported me, or even just left me alone. I really love it! And especially after I'd practiced enough writing, I became more disciplined about collecting data and analyzing them. And now, I picked up on an opportunity to push myself with really modern designing and computing tools during business school. So I took it and have been running with it.
And I hope you can have as much fun yourself - so here it is, up in the video! ;)
